Antivirus software checks your computer for viruses that may have interfered while you were browsing the Internet. They may hide in files and may even be dormant for a certain period. you may set the scanner to function automatically so that you don’t have to activate it everytime you log in.
- Install a software firewall
Computers should have a firewall in order to block those Internet predators from getting an access into your personal information. Firewall can’t assure you 100% that it can block any hacking attempts, that’s why you need to have some supplementary security measures.
- Get an anti-spyware software
Some websites have some tracking cookies that could track your browsing habits. There are also some programs which could keep you records which could then bypass all your security information. So, you should be careful with it and check it accordingly.
- Avoid suspicious websites
If you encounter a site that pop out some pornography without your request or a site that advertises music or software downloads, it is an indication that it is not safe to browse it.
