Kids use the internet to connect to their friends and in looking for answers to their assignments. Helpful it may seem but the internet also creates a lot of opportunity to waste time and can even harm you.

There are also those whose identities have been stolen through the internet. There are even those whose credit card information were stolen and used in criminal activities. It pays therefore to really be vigilant in protecting yourself especially if you are using the internet,
As a start, be careful in visiting websites. You should visit only visit websites that are legitimate and legal. Be careful in downloading files from the internet. You might be able to download malwares, viruses and spywares. Never give out personal information to anyone in the internet including your friends and your acquaintances. Third party individuals might get their hands on your personal data and use your data on illegal activities. So if you think you are safe in using the internet, you are wrong. Be vigilant always in using the internet.
