Visit Age-Appropriate Site
Make sure you know the sites your kids might explore and check them before your kids thus. Block adult content sites to keep your kids off from those pages.
Search Safely
Most internet browsers have search setting and filters, you can set the filters to not show adult and limit inappropriate search results.
Avoid Strangers
Just like in outside world, tell your kids to never talk to strangers in cyberspace. Explain to them the hazards and dangers involved in communicating to strangers.
Be a Good Netizen
The internet is still like a playground, so teach your kids to play and conduct themselves nicely. A good cyber citizen follows the rule of thumb of the internet: if you would not do something in real world, you wouldn’t do it online.
Know how your children can report abuse and mean behavior or bad content on their favorite site and tech your kids to be vigilant on doing it. Also, establish your ground rules, expectations and limits in using the computer and internet for your kids to follow.
Keep the Computer in Public Place
Discourage your kids from sneaking into inappropriate sites by putting the computer in public areas in your house rather than keeping it inside their room.

Keep track of your kids online, know what they usually do and how they have fun on the internet and get involved whenever you can. Teach your kids to use the computer, their mobile devices and the internet responsibly.
