Tips on Blocking Adult Websites on your Computer’s Web Browser

It is quite a fact that majority of our young people today have thoroughly embraced the wonders of the internet not only as an educational tool but likewise as a means of socialization and communication.

And with the abundance of free information online, there’s a great possibility that your children will come across pornographic websites. Most of the times, children only accidentally come across them due to pop-up ads that appear on the web browser. Many internet browsers, such as Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, consist of tools that enable you to modify the settings in order to block porn or adult websites.

If your children are using your personal home computer, then there’s definitely a way to keep them from accessing pornographic websites. Access your web browser and see how it is done.

1. Click the Tools menu. From the dropdown list under Tools menu, select the Add-ons option.

2. Select the Get Add-ons link that is located on the left side of your browser’s page. Enter the word “porn” in the text field. Doing this step allows you to view and set all of the relevant tools that offer functions that can block adult websites.

3. If you have already selected the feature that you want to install in your browser, click the Install button next to it. Then just follow the wizard to finish the installation.

4. You also have the option to configure the adult site blocker. For example, when using FoxFilter, hit the Tools menu option and then select FoxFilter Settings. Click the Preference link which is also located on the same page. Then select the checkboxes and buttons that you want for your preference.

5. Click the Tools menu and then choose Internet Options. Select the Content tab and click the Enable button which can be located under the Content Advisor.

6. On the page display, click the categories “Nudity” and “Sexual Material” and then drag them to the “None” menu.

7. Select Apply and then click the OK button in order to save it in your browser’s settings.
