What to Do When Your Kid is Being Stalked Online

Nowadays, social media is becoming a part of a teenager’s life. You can see that every teenager has its own facebook account, twitter, tumbler and so many more. This will help them share their experience, information and getting updated with friends online. But there are times that over sharing your information may pose a certain stranger stalker. It is important that if ever your teenager is being too expressive to there social life in the internet, you should be notified immediately. Having an open communication with your teenager is a good way to protect them from over sharing their information.

Try also to teach them how to say no for an answer to a stranger. There are some strangers that are charismatic and can easily manipulate teenagers because of it. Just leave them alone or you can engage them only once. Also, it is important to not to meet the stranger face to face. You may never know if that person is carrying weapon in order for him to let you leek out some information that you have.

It’s important also to document everything you did: Chats, emails, private messages, everything. You may think that it’s troublesome for you to do that but it may help you in the future. Those things will be considered as proofs whenever stalking is on going and you may give it to the nearest police station so that they can investigate and may capture those people. Just remember to keep safe and protect your kids from dangers.
